Ikhtyar Omar
Ikhtyar Omar resides in Toronto, Canada. He was a professor of Chemical Engineering for 45 years, starting at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, and later in Canada. Throughout his career, he earned accolades from students and peers, receiving teaching excellence awards twice. Besides teaching, he worked as an industrial and educational consultant in several countries. This is his first literary publication, although he has published extensively in his professional field. Dr. Omar is also an acclaimed Rabindra Sangeet vocalist and trainer, holding a diploma from Chhayanaut Musical Academy. In retirement, he enjoys leading musical programs and spending time with his three grandchildren.
