René Holenstein
René Holenstein is a former diplomat and a specialist in international cooperation. He was the Swiss Ambassador to Bangladesh from 2017 to 2020. Previously, he served in different senior positions for the Swiss government in Africa, Europe, Central and South Asia. He holds a PhD in history from the University of Zurich. A former lecturer at ETH Zurich, Mr. Holenstein contributed to shaping minds and fostering understanding of international cooperation and policy. His multifaceted career mirrors a passion for history, diplomacy, and sustainable development, encapsulating a rich tapestry of contributions to academia and international relations.
