Dr. M. Zahir, a top company lawyer of Bangladesh has prepared this book in the light of his long experience in the courtrooms and his work with corporate clients. He has also drawn on his knowledge of company and securities laws in the UK and Australia. Having obtained his B. A. (Hons.) and M.A. in English Literature and LLB at Dhaka University, Zahir got enrolled as an Advocate of Dhaka High Court in March 1962. He passed his English Bar exams in 1963 and took LL.M. from the University of London in 1964. He did pupilage with Mr. Christopher Staughton, (later Lord Justice Staughton of the English Court of Appeal) specialising in mercantile practices. He was called to the English
