Mufleh R. Osmany

Mufleh R. Osmany is currently Chairman of the Board of Governors, Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS), Dhaka. He had been Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh (1993 -1995). He served as Ambassador/ High Commissioner for Bangladesh in several countries of North America, the Caribbean, Europe and the Middle East. He was Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to UN Offices in Geneva and Vienna. He participated in several summits and many international conferences. Ambassador Osmany is a columnist and an author. Ambassador Osmany was Professor, Dr. Rashid Chair at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka. His latest co-edited books are Religious Militancy and Security in South Asia, 2006; Global War on Terror: Bangladesh Perspective, 2007; and Democracy, Governance and Security Reforms: Bangladesh Context, 2008.
