Major General Golam Mohammad, nwc, psc, is Director General of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS). He obtained his Masters degree on Defence Strategic Studies from Madras University, India and Masters Degree on National Security Strategy from National Defence University, USA. Golam Mohammad was commissioned on 14 June 1979 in the East Bengal Regiment (Infantry) of Bangladesh Army. In his long military career, he served in various command, staff and instructional appointments. He served as Staff at Brigade and Division Headquarters, and as Directing Staff of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC). He took part in UN peacekeeping operations under United Nations Transition Assistance Group (UNTAG) in Namibia as a Military Observer from 1989 to 1990.
