Burhanuddin Khan Jahangir

Burhanuddin Khan Jahangir was born in Chandpur, Bangladesh in the year 1936. He was educated in Dhaka and received a doctoral degree in Anthropology from the University of Durham in 1976. Currently, he is the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the National University. He is also the Director of the Centre for Social Studies, and edits the two quarterly journals published by the Centre: The Journal of Social Studies in English and Samaj Nirikkhan in Bangla. B. K. Jahangir, an art critic, looks at Quamrul Hassan to explore his visions and makes us feel their vibrations. B. K. Jahangir is also known as a poet, story writer and essayist. This book is a tribute from a writer to a painter of genius. His other book, published by ICBS is on Zainul Abedin, Bangladesh's most influential painter.
