A K Khandker Bir Uttam

A. K. Khandker Bir Uttam was the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Bangladesh Armed Forces during the Bangladesh Liberation War. As Air Vice Marshal, he was the first commander of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF). He served the Government of Bangladesh as planning minister and diplomat. Muyeedul Hasan studied at Dhaka University. While a final year student, he started writing editorials in the then-popular Daily Ittefaq by observing the economic and political trends of East Bengal in depth. He is also the author of Muldhara ’71 and Upadhara ’71. S. R. Mirza was a retired wing commander and Director General of the Youth Camps for freedom fighters during the Bangladesh Liberation War.
