M A Sattar Mandal

M.A.S. Mandal is a Professor and former Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics at the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. He was the President of the International Research Network on Irrigation Management for Crop Diversification. He worked for Bangladesh Agriculture Sector Review, Government of Bangladesh Task Force on Agricultural Production Strategy, and the Flood Action Plan-12 study. Professor Mandal is currently leading a multidisciplinary study of Privatization of Minor Irrigation in Bangladesh. He has published many research papers both at home and abroad. He also co-edited, among others, On-farm Irrigation Water Management Problems, Evaluating the Role of Institutions in Irrigation Programme, Irrigation Water Market-Inefficient and Inequitable? and Diversification in Bangladesh.
