Ajay Darshan Behera

Dr. Ajay Darshan Behera is a Reader ut the Academy of Third World Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. Previously, he was a Senior Fellow and Officiating Director at the Centre for Strategic and Regional Studies, University of Jammu, Jammu. He has also served at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses and the Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi. He has also been a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution, Washington, D.C. and the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign, USA. His main areas of research interest are foreign policy and security issues in South Asia, political violence, insurgency and terrorism. He is the author of The Politics of Violence and Development in South Asia (1999) and has co-edited the book Pakistan in a Changing Strategic Context (2004).
