M. Mahbubur Rahman Morshed
Dr. Morshed, Secretary of the Government of Bangladesh has been working as the Secretary, Ministry of Establishment since November 2005. He received higher education and PhD at Dhaka and Rajshahi universities respectively, and advanced professional training at Bradford University, UK and ProjectStyrning AB, Sweden. Dr. Mahbub, a career civil servant, previously worked with many ministries, divisions and autonomous bodies in various capacities, including: Secretary, Ministry of Information; Chairman, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation; Member Directing Staff, Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre; Secretary, Bangladesh National Commission for UNESCO, Director, Training Academy for planning and Development, and Deputy Secretary, Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Finance. Besides government jobs, he also worked with international organizations and UN agencies at home and abroad. He served as Supervisory Management and Human Resource Development Specialist and Management Consultant in the Republic of Maldives under a UNDP/ILO and Japan Government supported project. Dr. Mahbub was a Senior National Consultant (Training and Workshop) of UNDP under the project ‘Building Capacity for Local Governance’ (1998-2000). Widely recognized as a training GURU, Dr, Mahbub facilitates training programs and sessions in almost all training institutions in the country. He has published a number of articles, reports and nine books on various development issues.
