Samuel Jaffe is an independent scholar based in New Zealand. He holds a dual MA/MSc in International and World History from Columbia University and the London School of Economics. His research interests centre on international and global responses to Bangladesh’s Liberation War. His master’s thesis, which drew upon extensive archival research and participant interviews, examined the activities of pro-Bangladesh grassroots organisations in the USA in 1971. An Internal Matter: The United States, Grassroots Activism and the Creation of Bangladesh is his first monograph.
