Mohit Ul Alam
Mohit Ul Alam (born December 13, 1952 in Chattogram) is a distinguished Shakespearean scholar and former Vice Chancellor of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University. He earned his BA and MA in English from the University of Chittagong, and a second Master’s degree in English from Lakehead University. He later completed his PhD at the University of Dhaka. Over his career, he has taught at Chittagong University, served as Dean at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, and founded Premier University’s English Department. The author of over fifty books spanning fiction, poetry, translation, and critical works, he has written extensively on both academic and contemporary issues.
