Nasreen Ahmad, Professor in the Department of Geography and Environment, University of Dhaka, is also involved with the academics of the Department of Women's Studies of the University. She is actively involved with primary research and supervision of students research; the focus being on man and environment. She has published several papers in reputed journals and books. Currently, President of the Bangladesh Geographical Society, Dr. Nasreen Ahmad is a member of the Dhaka University Senate and takes great pride in her involvement with the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendro of 1971 at Mujibnagar.
