Firdous Azim is Professor, Department of English, University of Dhaka. Her main interests are in feminist and colonial literary criticism. She is the author of The Colonial Rise of the Novel. She is co-editor of Other Englishes: Essays on Commonwealth Writing; Infinite Variety: Women in Society and Literature and Different Perspectives.
